BLACKWOOD – Camden County College will hold its fourth spring job fair for students on April 26 on the Blackwood campus.
As the time arrives for students to look for a job with a company that can give them experience for careers after graduation, the campus’s career center coordinator, Joe Pranzatelli, is putting the finishing touches on the spring job fair, with the help of Meridian Services, the campus Web design and maintenance staff and academic advisement staff.
On average, 400 students meet and interview with more than 50 major companies during Camden County College job fairs.
Among the companies that will attend this spring are L-3 Communications, US Vision, Walmart, Coca-Cola, many health care facilities, advanced manufactures like and Rosenberger-Toth, banks such as TD and Cornerstone, non-profits like the YMCA, retailers like JCPenney and Kenneth Cole, and staffing companies such as Bear Staffing.
Pranzatelli encourages students to take advantage of the opportunity to interact with representatives from a variety of professions. He says students who plan to attend the spring job fair should expect to network with representatives of the companies and possibly receive an on-the-spot employment offer. He recommends students bring their resumes and dress appropriately.
More than 30 students found jobs through previous Camden County College job fairs, most from on-the-spot offers or after further job interviews at the companies’ locations, according to tallies from the fairs.
Alex Tran, a Blackwood campus freshman, says he, like many students, appreciates the opportunities the job fairs provide because “they’re helping students look for jobs.”
The free spring job fair on the Blackwood campus will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. April 26 in the Connector Building Atrium. For more information, contact Pranzatelli at 856-227-7200, ext. 4854 or email@example.com.
