A one-day safe boating course is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 3 on the Blackwood campus of Camden County College.

The course will be run through the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and will be taught by Bob Kanzler. The eight-hour session will include seven sections and a 60-question multiple-choice test. Upon completion of the course, enrollees will receive a temporary certification and will be sent another certification in the mail.

 

“Many boat insurance companies will offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who complete this course,” explains the New Courses section of the Camden County College website.

 

The course will cost $99.
