It has been five years as of June 2009 that Cliff PreScott has entered into retirement as a retired Post Office mailman for Gloucester City, NJ. Cliff PreScott was a mailman for thirty years until he retired. Cliff PreScott is sixty – two years old and has been married to his beautiful wife Marlys PreScott for thirty – eight years. Cliff and Marlys PreScott have five children together and have seven wonderful grandchildren. Cliff PreScott likes to spend a lot of his free time playing golf with his friends and watching sports on television, especially the Philadelphia Phillies. But Cliff PreScott tends to spend the majority of his time volunteering at a Christian organization called Kids Alley Learning Center. Cliff PreScott contributes to Kids Alley Learning Center such as: picking up kids from school to go to Kids Alley Learning Center, tutoring kids that need help with their homework, providing a healthy snack for the kids after they get out of school, and providing fun activities for the kids to do. Cliff PreScott has been volunteering his time to the Kids Alley Learning Center for sixteen years, Monday through Friday from 3:00 – 5:30p.m. Kids Alley Learning Center is a non – profit after school program, which provides a place for parents in the city of Camden to send their children to go to while the parents work late. Once the children arrive at Kids Alley Learning Center they go down stairs into Dining Hall. Were they are welcome with a healthy snack provided by Cliff PreScott and other staff volunteers that prepared the snacks for them. Every day the children get a different healthy snack because a lot of the children come to Kids Alley Learning Center hungry. By providing healthy snacks to the children it teaches them the important of eating healthy food rather than eating junk food. Photo was taken on April 17th, 2014. After the children eat their delicious snack it’s homework time for them. The children split up into their homework groups by grade levels. Since April 17th, 2014 was the last day Kids Alley Learning Center was going to be open before Easter weekend. Cliff PreScott and other staff volunteers decided to surprise all the children from the program by providing an Easter Egg Hunt, for them to attend and collect eggs in the open field behind the Kids Alley Learning Center building.
