BLACKWOOD – Camden County College will hold its graduation dinner for the class of 2014 on May 15 at Tavistock Country Club.
“It’s always a great time,” Renee Pollard, one of the two planners for the dinner, said about the annual event. “We all always have at least 300 people come and honestly I can’t imagine where you can get such a wonderful meal for only $10.”
She adds she is excited about the change in location this year. “We have had the dinner at the same place for the past five years. It’s good to see change and I’m excited for the turnout and new food.”
The menu includes succulent grilled petite filet mignon with a cabernet demi glaze or a juicy grilled chicken marsala. There will also be dancing and celebrating with fellow graduates-to-be, friends and relatives after dinner.
Destiny Langston, a 21-year-old student, says the students deserve this for putting their all into getting this far.
“It’s been a long journey,” says Langston, a soon-to-be graduate of the class of 2014. “I go to the graduation dinner every year. Even though it’s not like high school or anything I’m glad that the college does this for us, to recognize and celebrate all our hard work.”
Tickets for the graduation dinner have been on sale since March 27 and are going fast. You can purchase them at the Blackwood, Camden and Cherry Hill campuses. Dinner attire is required and the last day to buy tickets is May 9.
