BLACKWOOD – Almost one year after MyCCC debuted at Camden County College, some students say the online portal is meeting expectations as a central location for online interactions with Camden County College while other students say they do not use it.
In an email when MyCCC launched, Executive Dean of Enrollment and Student Services James Canonica stated, “The portal is your easy-access one-stop location for most of your interactions at Camden County College.” On the portal, students can find email, Web Study and other important links.
Second-semester student Ashley Goldman called MyCCC a great idea. “I have access to the portal. I love it,” Goldman said. “It’s like a one-stop shop. From my email to Web Advisor, it provides pretty much everything I need daily without having to search all over the Camden County website.”
Second-semester student Siani Israel, however, called MyCCC meaningless. “I don’t really have a reason to use it,” Israel said. “I didn’t use it at all last semester and I did fine in all my classes without it.”
In a recent survey conducted by a public relations class, 60 of the 250 students responding to a question about ease of use said they found it difficult to log on to MyCCC, while 123 of the 229 students responding to a question about use said they do not use it to access their student email.
