BLACKWOOD – Camden County College’s arts and crafts fair took place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Connector Building atrium. This annual event featured ceramics, jewelry, paintings, drawings, cards and other items.
Students, faculty and staff members visited the event as the day went on. At least one seller was at each table of items.
The fair featured eight tables with different items on each table. Table 1 featured Disney princess characters dolls and figurines. Table 2 sold fabrics of different colors, including blue, green, orange and gold. This table also had handmade necklaces. Table 3 featured pottery items such as bowls, ceramics, tea kettles, vases and mini decorative chairs. They all came in different colors, including green, white, blue, brown and red. Table 4 featured pottery as well, with handmade mugs that came in blue, white and brown. Table 5 featured handmade white wreaths with a gold decorative center. Tables 6 and 7 were combined with pottery items, including vases and bowls in blue, grey, black and gold. Table 8 featured holiday wreaths. They had a green and red center surrounded by thick white material.
Michael Hummal, a student at Camden County College, said he thought the arts and crafts fair was a great idea. “My mom and aunt love arts and crafts and I needed Christmas presents,” he said. “I’m probably going to buy some things after class.”
Vinnie Foschi, another student at Camden County College, said he was considering making a purchase, too. “I’m not really into crafts and stuff but I do appreciate the hard work and time that comes into making them,” he said. “I will probably buy a mug because I just want something cool to drink out of.”
Also featured at the fair was a stand that sold an assortment of poinsettias. The flowers were pink, yellow and red. Small- and large-size poinsettias were for sale.
