BLACKWOOD – Dr. Seuss’ ‘Seussical the Musical’ will take the stage this month at Camden County College.

Cast members have been preparing for opening night at the Dennis Flyer Theatre on the Blackwood campus for several months.

Dr. Seuss’ best-loved stories combine in this enchanting musical presented by Mainstage Center for the Arts. Several familiar characters will bring the play to life, including Horton the Elephant, performed by Joe Penn, Cat in the Hat, portrayed by Shaun Levey, and little Jojo, played by Darby Pumphrey. “Seussical the Musical” demonstrates the family friendly acts of loyalty, friendship and love.

Stephen McBride, a student and resident of Williamstown, performed in “Seussical the Musical” as a Wickersham Brother for the Road Company in 2008. “‘Seussical’ has a storyline that people of all ages can appreciate and some adult humor as well. I would highly recommend it for people of all ages to go see,” McBride said.

The Dennis Flyer Theatre will open its curtains to “Seussical the Musical” at 7 p.m. Nov. 16, 2 and 7 p.m. Nov. 17 and 2 p.m. Nov. 18.
